BELOVED SWAMI HARI TAKES MAHASAMADHI
 
Swami Hariharanandaji, a disciple of Swami Rama, who lived at Tarakeshwara for over a decade and was known for his joyful laughter and wonderful stories, and for his sincere attention and care for students, left his body approximately 3:30 AM on Sunday in India. Swamiji had been very ill for weeks with respiratory crisis and was in Jolly Grant hospital at the time.

WATCH THE INTERVIEW WITH SWAMI VEDA IN ASSISSI

This year, inspired by several swamis of Rishikesh including Swami Veda Bharati a conference was held by a new organization called Sarva Yoga (Omni Yoga) dedicated to the continuity and spread of the traditional classical yoga at a time when yoga is largely misunderstood.Swami Veda gave an indepth outline of the spiritual and classical directions that yoga needs to take.

UNESCO CHAIR OF PEACE STUDIES

The composition by Swami Veda Bharati wil be read at the inauguration of UNESCO CHAIR OF PEACE STUDIES at Innsbruck University, Innsbruck, Austria, on 4th July 2008.
 
It wil be read by the Chairholder Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Dietrich who has hosted svb at his university in the past. In 2007 svb, Dr. Stoma parker and Tejaswini taught a morning to night course for 4 days at the then Department of Peace Studies which was appreciated by all the students from ten countries.
